My name is Kylie and I’m a 20-something, coffee loving, always singing, strawberry blonde.
If you want some context to what this blog is, here is a link to the post that describes Simply Kylie.
If you want to get to know me better, just read through this list of all the things I love most.
I love Jesus, family, all things organization (lists, spreadsheets, calendars, planners – only the paper kind), Christmas, coffee, singing, good harmonies, my cat, winter and snow, almond butter, writing, music, fall, thunderstorms, Disney, ice cream (with rainbow sprinkles), my bed, wearing black, giving gifts, coffee mugs, notebooks, pineapple, musicals, reading, baking, worship, road trips, traveling, sparklers (I’m sure you’ll hear more about my obsession with fire), ferris wheels, words, coconut, America, and the local church.
That pretty much sums me up. Ask anyone who knows me well and they will agree.
I have a bachelors degree in communication. I’m the oldest of three and have been told I’m “such a mom.” I clean when I’m stressed. I can’t make decisions quickly. I love watching other people’s kids. I’m a picky eater and stick mainly to a Whole30-ish/Paleo diet. My perfectionist side comes out during art projects and crafts and I will sit there in silence until it’s perfect. I’ve been called OCD a few times (or a few more than a few…) I hate odd numbers. My favorite number is 7 (odd number, I know.). I love stories. I really don’t like roller coasters.
Most importantly, I am unapologetically in love with Jesus and His church. I’d rather spend my time there than almost anywhere else. I’m passionate about seeing people reach their full potential and living their best life. Disclaimer: that best life will be different for each individual. It’s taken me way too long to realize this and the comparison trap has gotten the best of me one too many times.
This blog is my journey of becoming the best me – and hopefully it will help you become the best you along the way.
